4th & 5th Graders' PowerPoints about Ocean Creatures
4th & 5th Graders read "Hello, Fish!" by Gail Gibbons and chose an animal that lives in a coral reef to research. We took our writing through the writing process and added text features to make our writing easier to understand. Click on the links below to see our PowerPoints!
1st Graders' Paper Bag Houses
We made a paper bag house and compared and contrasted our houses with a partner. We used the sentence starters: "Our houses have___." and "My house has ___." Help your child practice using our/have and my/has. We also wrote steps with sequence words to tell a friend how to make a paper bag house. Practice sequence words at home by having your child tell you steps to simple tasks (brushing his/her teeth, packing a lunch, putting on shoes) with first, then, next, last, or finally.
