I can't believe that this week will be MAY! This year is flying by, but school isn't over yet! I know warmer weather and pools opening signal summer break for our students, but we still have 3 more weeks of school. Please help your child maintain focus for the end of the year.
This week will be a bit scattered since we will be finishing CRCT on Monday, I will have a planning/collaboration day on Wednesday, and I will be out of the building on Friday. Yikes!
This week in ESOL...
4th & 5th graders will be working on their technology projects. Some of the time this week will be spent learning about different presentation programs that will help them. The rest of the time will be spent on starting our next unit called "Greetings from America."
3rd graders will begin a unit on The Five Senses and we will wrap up our year writing both informative and narrative pieces with the use of our senses.
2nd graders will be using some of their new knowledge from their animal research and be reading two books about animal predators. We will listen to the book The Red Eyed Tree Frog and read What Do You Do Whn Something Wants to Eat You?
1st graders will be wrapping up fairy tales and will be using their knowledge of nouns, verbs, and adjectives to write silly fairy tales.
