We will begin ACCESS testing for all ESOL students this week and should continue until about February 13.
The ACCESS test provides information about your child’s progress in learning English. Students will be tested in each of the four language domains: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Results of the test should be received before the end of the year and will assist us in planning instruction for your child.
While we want all students to do their best, please be careful not to create undue anxiety in your child. Tests will be taken individually or in small groups over four separate testing sessions. In most cases, your child will be tested during his or her normal ESOL time. During testing, all regularly scheduled ESOL classes will be cancelled.
