1st GradeLast week, we had lots of fun practicing reading our puppet show of Honza's Little House. Make sure you ask your child to practice reading the play and taking on different characters. This week, we will be practicing location words (next to, beside, above, to the right of, to the left of) and will be discussing story elements and features of nonfiction texts. | 3rd GradeThis week, we will be continuing our theme of DESERTS and will be determining what else we want to know about desserts in order to use our research skills to find out more information. Be on the lookout for our finished informational articles in the weeks to come. | 4th & 5th GradeThis week, we will be using the internet and reading resources to research information about animals in coral reefs. We will be incorporating information we learn into a PowerPoint presentation. Make sure you look for more of our great student work! |
On Monday, January 22, we will be celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Birthday. He helped fight for equal rights for all Americans and his work was very important. Watch a video to learn more about Dr. King's life.
I hope EVERYONE had a wonderful winter break! I had a busy break visiting my family in Virginia and Maryland, but I can't wait to hear all about the fun things that everyone did!
