I can't believe half of January is done already! Time flies!
This week in ESOL...
5th grade is reading nonfiction books to determine author's purpose. While most of the time we think of nonfiction as informational, sometimes authors tell us facts that are bias and make us think a certain way.
4th grade is adding specific text evidence to support their writing.
3rd grade is writing silly persuasive minibooks modeled after Who Wants to Buy a Cheap Rhinoceros? by Shel Silverstein!
2nd grade is sharing their opinion by telling us what they'd rather do with reasons.
1st grade is telling facts and opinions about a topic and will tell their opinion about the best thing to do at recess.
It's not too late...
Sign up to represent your country for International Night on March 19th 5:30 - 7:30!
Please return this form to Ms. Getzfred or Ms. Spaeth as soon as possible.
